Culver City Fire Department’s ‘Spark of Love’ Toy Drive

The Culver City Fire Department will be collecting toy donations at all three fire stations and Brotman Medical Center to donate to children in need.

From now until the New Year, the Culver City Fire Department will be collecting toy donations at all three of its fire stations as well as Brotman Medical Center.

The toys will be donated to children in need in and around the city as part of the Spark of Love Toy Drive. The organization provides a new unwrapped toy or sporting good to a child who would otherwise go without a gift this holiday season.

Recipients are identified in advance by established community and child service organizations. Families experiencing a sudden catastrophic loss are also aided by Spark of Love. When possible, the local Fire Station crew (occasionally accompanied by Santa Claus) makes a discreet and dignified special delivery to these deserving children.

To participate in the program, please drop off a new unwrapped toy or sporting good at any one of Culver City’s three fire stations listed below.  If you can’t make it to the fire station, you can also make a secure on-line donation.

You can find Culver City’s three fire stations here:

CCFD Station 1:  9600 Culver Blvd.

CCFD Station 2: 11252 Washington Blvd.

CCFD Station 3: 6030 Bristol Pkwy.

You can also donate toys at Brotman Medical Center.

For questions or further information, please contact Mauricio Blanco at 310- 253-6820 at Fire Station 2.

Now CCFD is sending "all available units", as water is right up to homes!

This is a clear warning about what will happen to our aging water and sewer infrastructure, if theRead More city allows frackers to drill under our homes. The city of Westminster in OC last week denied a drilling permit for exactly this reason. It's time for citizens to let their council members know their thoughts on this topic. Council is concerned about a lawsuit if they stop fracking. The cost of a lawsuit pales next to the cost of replacing our infrastructure. Paid by taxpayers. Thus far frackers have never operated in such a densely populated area. In rural areas, there isn't nearly as much infrastructure.
