Update July 2, 6:05 p.m.
The investigation into Sunday night's fire is ongoing Culver City Fire Department spokesperson told Patch. The Fire Department confirmed that the blaze was started by illegal fireworks but it's still unclear whether the fire was deliberate.
Currently there are no suspects in custody and the Fire Prevention Bureau continues to investigate.

A brush fire broke out at approximately 10:15 p.m. in Culver City Park Sunday night.
All Culver City Fire Department units were called to the scene and the fire was extinguished at approximately 10:50 p.m.
Culver City Police Officer Garcia told Patch the fire began at around 10:15 p.m. and the cause of the fire is still unknown.
According to scanner reports both police and fire units checked the area and found boxes that appeared to have contained fireworks as well as an extinguished firework near an irrigation line by a concrete path.
