The accident occurred at the 9700 block of Venice Boulevard on the Culver City border, and involved a bus, pick-up truck and SUV.

A Metro bus, a sport utility Dodge Durango, and a pick-up truck crashed near downtown Culver City at approximately 5:49 p.m. Wednesday, injuring 11 people on the bus and the SUV driver, CBS2 reports.

The collision occurred when the driver of the Dodge Durango, which was  going south on Watseka Avenue, crossed the center divider and crashed into the side of the Metro bus, Helen Ortiz Gilstrap of Metro said.

The Durango driver was seriously injured and transported to the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center in critical condition, Cpt. Keith Douglass of the Los Angeles Fire Department told Patch.

Ten other people had minor injuries, and one declined transport, according to Douglass.

Venice Boulevard was shut down between Clarington and Watseka avenues for over an hour. Traffic was heavy in and around the 9700 block of Venice Boulevard where the accident occurred, as well as in surrounding Culver City streets including Culver and Washington boulevards.
