1 Injured When Car Flips on 405 Freeway in Culver City

The cause of the crash remains under investigation by the CHP.

One man was transported to a hospital with injuries suffered Thursday morning when a car crashed into the center divider and overturned near the connection between the San Diego (405) and Marina (90) freeways in Culver City, temporarily shutting down a freeway offramp, according to authorities.

The crash took place about 1:45 a.m. on the southbound 405 Freeway, closing the Jefferson Boulevard offramp, California Highway Patrol Officer Alex Rubio said.

The injured man's condition was not known, he said.

Fire department spokeswoman Katherine Main confirmed that paramedics transported at least one person from the scene who had to be extricated from his vehicle.

The crash caused the CHP to declare a SigAlert at 1:57 a.m., while the wreckage was cleared, Rubio said. The offramp was reopened and the SigAlert cancelled at 3:41 a.m., according to the CHP.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation by the CHP.
