Kathy Paspalis: All For 1 Campaign Is an Investment that Will Come Back to the Community

Our local print and online news sources have been full of requests to support CCEF’s All for 1 campaign, and I write simply to add my voice to that chorus.

As a parent of two middle schoolers, I know personally the impact that the funds raised and carefully distributed by the Culver City Education Foundation have.

As a school board member serving during the worst fiscal crisis since the Great Depression, I know how important our local community has been to our schools, year after year in responding to our students’ needs in the face of relentless cuts from our state and federal governments.

Our local print and online news sources have been full of requests to support CCEF’s All for 1 Campaign, and I write simply to add my voice to that chorus.

Every Culver City Unified School District parent, every Culver City homeowner, renter and/or business owner should step up and donate to this (tax deductible) cause. It’s an investment that will come back to our community – and thus to you too – tenfold, by providing high quality programs, technology, tutoring and equipment to all our CCUSD schools.

It’s easy, too. Just go to: www.ccef90230.org

And thanks.

Sincerely,

Kathy Paspalis

CCUSD Board Vice-President and CCMS Mom

Just a short thought to get the word out quickly about anything in your neighborhood.
Share something with your neighbors. Write a new post... What's up? Make an announcement, speak your mind, or sell something

Maybe more to the point, where does the methane (way more powerful than CO2 as a greenhouse gas)Read More release go from the fracking process, where do the "secret"and other cancer causing chemicals go, and who pays for clean-up costs, increased healthcare costs of residents nearby, possible increased earthquake damage, etc. and where does this oil go (we can't use it--too dirty--so probably China)?

As I understand it, fracking wells "dry up" fairly quickly, which is why pressure to keepRead More drilling so urgent. Where do the jobs go after a year or so? Just a thought....
