Keeping it safe boarding your pooch this holiday

The holidays are already here *again* and many will be traveling without their pooches in tow.

Recently we've seen a lot of press about the Circo virus outbreak in California and Ohio - and apparently it's spreading across the country.  Circo virus is known to mimic the symptoms of parvo virus and is equally as deadly.  Pets can fall ill and perish within 1-2 days of contracting the virus.  There is no vaccine currently and there is no time to run lab tests for the virus currently.  Getting your dog to the vet immediately if the following symptoms present is crucial:

1.  sudden lethargy
2.  vomiting
3.  severe diarrhea

If you awake in the night to find our dog with any of these symptoms, vets instruct to get him or her to the emergency room immediately.  Time is crucial.

Circo virus is very contagious and reports say it is picked up by dogs who frequent group situations with a higher volume of other dogs ie: dog parks and indoor boarding facilities that warehouse dogs.

This is the very reason we created LA Dog Posse as an alternative to mass boarding and exercising venues for you dog.  We offer private day time walks (30 or 60 minutes)  with several happy clients in Culver City on weekdays - never more than 3 dogs at a time.  We have daycare at our large, secure outdoor yard with fruit trees and never more than 4 dogs total.  Our grounds are cleaned twice daily. Pick up and drop off service is available.

Our siganture service is the day hlke where your dog gets out on a 2-3 hour adventure with no more than 1-2 other dogs on a local trail.  You'll come home to a tuckered out, happy dog after work.

Please contact us for references or see some of them on YELP in Culver City - just search for LA Dog Posse and make sure to check the filter.  We have some good clients who have posted and been relegated there for some reason.

If you are seeking a conscientious, dog-loving place for your family friend, look no further.  We have more than 20 years of experience raising and training dogs and are involved in rescue for more than 5 years here in Los Angeles.  We know how to handle every breed and every personality, with love.

Happy Holidays!
