Dognapped Pups Found; Thief Still at Large

The canine threesome are apparently no worse for the wear, officials said.

Three dogs that were inside an SUV that was stolen in Culver City were recovered today, along with the vehicle, and the animals were returned to their owner in good health.

The dogs -- two Chihuahuas and a Havanese -- were in a gold 1999 Lexus RX300 that was taken from Washington Boulevard and Glencoe Avenue between 4:30 and 5:30 p.m Sunday.

The animals were found at 11:30 a.m. inside the vehicle, which was spotted in the 13300 block of Washington, according to Lt. Emery Eccles of the Culver City Police Department.
