Culver City's West Los Angeles College Earth Day E-Waste Collection

Drop off your e-waste on Sat. April 20 or Mon. April 22 and be entered to win a Google Nexus 7 Tablet.

In honor of Earth Day 2013, the Associate Student Organization of West Los Angeles College is sponsoring an Electronic Waste Collection event on campus.

The community is invited to bring their old and non-functional cell phones, televisions, computers, calculators, digital clocks and other electronic devices to the college at 9000 Overland Avenue (between Slauson and Jefferson) in Culver City on Sat. April 20 or Mon. April 22 from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.  Follow the signs to Parking Lot #7 on the south side of the baseball field. Look for the big white tent.

People who drop off electronic items will be entered in to a raffle to win a Google Nexus 7 Tablet. There will also be document shredding from 9 a.m. – 11 a.m.

New Leaf Waste Recycling is handling the collection and shredding. New Leaf is dedicated to keeping electronic waste and the associated toxins out of landfills.
