The City of Culver City has been awarded a $150,000 grant from Los Angeles County Supervisor Mark Ridley-Thomas’ Competitive Tree Planting Grant Program administered by the Los Angeles County Regional Park and Open Space District.
According to City Manager John Nachbar, the grant will cover the cost of planting 300 trees in vacant locations in parkways and parks throughout the City, and will also contribute to the tree establishment costs for the first two years after planting.
