Eye Care for Animals Participates in the 4th Annual ACVO/Merial National Service Dog Eye Exam Event

Complementary Eye Exams Will be Offered for Service Dogs at Over 30 Eye Care for Animals Locations Throughout the Entire Month of May.

Free screening ocular exams to Service Dogs will be given to help identify any problems that may affect the dog’s sight and benefit those who rely on Service Dogs by giving back to the animals who selflessly serve the public. Dogs must be active 'working dogs' who are certified by a formal training program or organization, or are currently enrolled in a formal training program to qualify. Service Dogs include guide dogs, hearing dogs, handicapped assistance dogs, detection dogs, police dogs, search & rescue dogs, formally trained & certified therapy dogs, and other service animals (i.e., horses and cats). Registration for the exam is available through April on the American College of Veterinary Ophthalmologists (ACVO) website.
