Westside Eagle Scout Recognition Dinner Slated for April 30, 2014

The Western Los Angeles County Council of the Boy Scouts of America will hold their inaugural Westside Eagle Scout Recognition Dinner on April 30, 2014.  The Jonathan Club is the site of this event, held to honor the extraordinary young men who have earned Scouting’s highest honor, the coveted Eagle Scout Badge.

Statistically speaking, only 4% of Boy Scouts earn the Eagle Scout Badge. Throughout 2013 and in the first quarter of 2014, eighty-six Scouts in the Crescent Bay District of the BSA have earned this honor.   The Council is proud to honor these young men and extends a special invitation to community leaders, Scouters, unit leaders, parents and extended family to celebrate this achievement.

Honorees in the Eagle Class of 2013-14 may attend this dinner at no charge. The event starts at 6:30 pm and features guest speaker Colonel Clark Lethin, USMC (ret).  Colonel Lethin is the Managing Director of the Institute for Creative Technologies at USC.   He was previously the Chief of Staff for the First Marine Expeditionary Force at Camp Pendleton, the largest amphibious training base of the Marine Corps in the West Coast.

Tickets are available for family and guests at a cost of $125.00.   Table sponsorships are available for $1,250.00.  Corporate and individual sponsorships are also available for $250 to $2,500 and include a listing in the official program and logo placement on the event banner.  The Jonathan Club is located at 850 Palisades Beach Club Road Santa Monica, CA 90403.  To attend this special event, please register online at:  http://bsa-la.doubleknot.com/event/2014-eagle-recognition-dinner-westside-location/1501337.  Please register no later than April 17, 2014 to guarantee table seating.
