We transformed Sol Salon into a pop up gallery and a poet's hideout for the opening night. Come and join us for the opening reception. Hideo Noda's work is vivid reflection of 20th Century Post War Asian Art. He's been around since the 1920's and has experienced being in internment camps and being a soldier in Siberia. A lot of the pain and suffering he had endured during this time can be seen reflected in his pictures that I can describe as pop art virtuosity. He combines various styles in an unexpected way resulting in contemporary artwork full of interesting juxtapositions. This show spans a collection of his work for the last 60 years until his recent passing last year. A must see for those interested in starting a collection of Contemporary Asian Art.
See his colorful painting feels his poetry, get inspired. Guests are welcome to share their own poetry from 8-9, for the poetry slam portion of this event.

Maybe more to the point, where does the methane (way more powerful than CO2 as a greenhouse gas)Read More release go from the fracking process, where do the "secret"and other cancer causing chemicals go, and who pays for clean-up costs, increased healthcare costs of residents nearby, possible increased earthquake damage, etc. and where does this oil go (we can't use it--too dirty--so probably China)?

As I understand it, fracking wells "dry up" fairly quickly, which is why pressure to keepRead More drilling so urgent. Where do the jobs go after a year or so? Just a thought....
