The discussion will include an overview of transition services for students with disabilities through special education and the CA Department of Rehabilitation.
As students with disabilities prepare to transition from high school to adult life and/or post-secondary institutions, it is crucial that they understand their legal rights to services and supports which they may be entitled to under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) and Title 9, Division 3 Rehabilitative and Developmental Services/Department of Rehabilitation.
