Give thanks a day early this year with Downtown Culver City’s second annual Third Wednesday “Pre-Gobbler Neighborhood Happy Hour.” With so much prep work, planning, hosting and running around before the Thanksgiving holiday, it’s a wonder anyone has a moment to actually stop and give thanks! So, this month’s event offers that chance to kick back and relax before the festivities begin with a drink or a meal at one of the dozens of bars and restaurants in Downtown Culver City. Feel like something that won’t leave you overstuffed? Nab free samples and get an early jump on your holiday shopping with discounts and specials from a variety of boutiques and specialty stores. Stop and marvel at the eclectic sounds of Marston, Lord of the Cello performing on his unique six-string electric cello. Beat the holiday traffic by riding the rails to the new Expo Line Culver City Station. Culver City’s downtown area is Southern California’s best kept secret, featuring a wonderful mix of historic buildings, boutiques, theaters, galleries and unique restaurants opening on to tree-lined streets.
