Using available technology to better connect

Did you know that only 10% of businesses and 37% of consumers are using Voice Over Internet (VoIP) to connect to others? Read about how VoIP is a better alternative to analog.

My, name is Eric J. Metz owner of Metz Family Technology Services, a technology service brokerage, offering home and business services.

I want to discuss about using VoIP technology to increase communicaton and lower your monthly bill.

In todays complex, technological world, there were many ways to connect with others. Outside of the person to person spoken word, there was smoke signals, mail service, carrier pigons, flags, lights, telegraph, telephone, pagers, cellular telephones, texting and then, all of the sudden, the internet was created and changed everything.

Instead of using a copper cable to send analog voice communication from one person to another, the ability to convert voice in to packets of data that is able to be sent digitally in many different ways made it easir, faster, and less bandwidth than the same analog technology that we have been using for over 80 years.

Although technology has changed, some have not completely changed with it. Yes some have brought internet into their homes to access the World Wide Web but some are currently using analog phone lines, copper wire so to speak, at great expense.

This is where, Voice Over Internet (VoIP) comes in. Digital phone service using the internet.

VoIP is a low cost, quality service that allows not only audio but video communication from one person to another. You probably have the internet at home, this is a another way for you to utilize it, increasing the value of the service you already have.

Or if you don't have internet service at home, another reason to justify doing so. The cost savings in using VoIP will easily offset the cost of adding internet service to your home.

Remember as a kid watching the "Jetsons" wishing to be able to call your family over a big screen and see every little wrinkle and facial expression? VoIP is the way to do that.

Wanting to save money by not having to fly to see a customer for a 30 minute conversation every few weeks? VoIP is the technology that allows you to do it.

Many consumers and businesses are using a quality VoIP service with little to no loss in connectivity and are saving 30 to 40% compared to their current bills.

Have you ever compared your phone bill to a VoIP service provider's offer?

Standard analog service from your local monopoly provider costs about $28.00 per month plus taxes and fees.

Then , if you plan on using the phone you need to add on an unlimited local and long distance plan for an additional $15.00 per month for a total of $43.00 per month plus taxes and fees.

Should you have business, friends, or family internationally you then pay another $15.00 per month for an international plan in order to receive reduced international calling rates.

This then totals, $58.00 per month.

Using your current phone equipment, the VoIP service that my company, Metz Family Technology Services offers is $25 per month for the first line, $9 per month for the second and includes local and long distance calls, over 20 features, and calls to land lines in 70 countries around the world. This a savings of over 50%

There are many VoIP services and options to choose from.  The one my business offers charges a low monthly fee and receive many more features and benefits not offered by analog phone service.

My wife, Melissa, owner of Essential Chocolate recently changed the Bakery's phone service from analog to VoIP and is saving over 30%

Now's the time for you to start saving too.
