• Counting down from 10, Culver City High Students released over 300 bright yellow balloons at the school on Thursday, to signify freeing the evils of bullying. Wearing anti-bullying bright yellow wrist bands with the statement "It's Time  to Take a Stand" the kids made their way to the quad after watching a screening of the critically-acclaimed documentary  -  Bully - that sparked a movement - www.thebullyproject.com - that rallied people to stand up to bullying, hate and intolerance.

• Architect Frank Gehry, the Santa Monica resident who designed the Walt Disney Concert Hall and the Guggenheim in Bilbao, revealed Thursday drawings for a new 22-story building at Ocean Avenue and Santa Monica Boulevard in downtown Santa Monica.

• A homeowner in Brentwood is thankful no further damage was done Wednesday morning after a delivery truck sheared a fire hydrant and struck her Range Rover and house at 1140 Tigertail Road in Brentwood. The accident was first reported at 8:39 a.m.

• Neighbors in the Pacific Palisades neighborhood don't want Rihanna. The home of Palisade's newest resident Rihannawas the site of a suspected burglary on Feb. 21.

• Two business on Abbot Kinney Boulevard in Venice are closing. Surfing Cowboys is moving to Mar Vista. after almost 10 years is moving because the owner said she can not afford the rent hike.
