The Great Escape: A Movie Matinee and LUNCH
For this week's great escape, head over to LUNCH after a movie matinee.
We moms spend so much of our time taking care of those around us, it’s easy to neglect taking care of ourselves. This weekly feature will showcase ways moms can take a little break from their routine, unplug and unwind a little, right here in Culver City.
Movie Time
Seeing a movie in the middle of the day–alone–is a very serious indulgence for any mom. The last movie she saw was probably "Toy Story 3," and not because it was nominated for an Oscar. This outing will take her back to the days when her time was her own and no one ever called her to volunteer for the PTA. The Culver 12 shows first-run movies right in the heart of Culver City, and the matinee prices are about $10, not a bad price for an escape without leaving town.

Have Lunch at LUNCH

The setting is trendy and the food is delicious. With about 15 sandwiches and nearly 10 salads to choose from, it would take a while to eat your way through the menu. Prices range between $8 and $10 each, making this a very affordable lunch out for moms on a budget. She can enjoy a meal in peace for a change, and then get ready to pick up the kids from school.
