Star EcoStation: Safe Space for Exotic Creatures

Interested in seeing a 17-foot long python or scaly alligator? Star EcoStation has it all.

The Star EcoStation is an exotic wildlife rescue facility and environmental science museum, whose inhabitants include hundreds of birds, fish, reptiles, mammals and tarantula.

Founded in 1997 by Erick and Katya Bozzi and their two children, the Star EcoStation is often the last resort for abandoned or illegal exotic wildlife—many of the animals are brought to them by U.S. Fish and Wildlife after being confiscated from individuals who engage in illegal trade of these types of animals.

The Star EcoStation is open to the public for tours Monday to Friday from 1-5 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. until Aug. 31, when the hours will change. The EcoStation is also available as a rental location for birthday parties and other events, and they host many school field trips throughout the year.
