Sing Along to a Christmas Concert and See a Movie

Catch the Culver City High School Winter Concert, see a screening of 'Milk of Sorrow,' and other fine Friday ideas.

1) Sing along to the Seasons Greeting Music Concert at Culver City High School.  Culver City High School's Academy of Visual and Performing Arts (AVPA) is having its annual winter music concert, and doors open at 6:30 p.m. Culver City High School, Robert Frost Auditorium, 4401 Elenda St.

2) Appreciate percussion perfection at Royal/T with drummer Allison Miller. As part of the "Boom Tic Boom" West Coast Tour, a four-piece piano, violin, bass and drum band will be playing tunes to please the audience. General admission is $12 dollars. Royal/T, 8910 Washington Blvd.; 310-559-6300

3) See a screening of "Milk of Sorrow," a film featuring the moving stories of Peruvian women during the tumultuous 1980s and 1990s in Peru. The film is the work of filmmaker Claudia Llosa and starts at 7 p.m. See the event listing for more information.

4) Friday is the last day to give food to those in need through the Holiday Food Certificate Program. A tax-deductible donation can be made to the Culver City Senior Citizens Association Annual program, which serves out of work and underprivileged families and individuals. The program is administered by Darren Uhl, Senior & Social Services Specialist.  For questions, please contact Darren.Uhl@CulverCity.org.
