Sherbourne Drive Street Resurfacing Continues through Friday

Work has been ongoing in Culver City since Monday and will continue through 6 p.m. Friday.

Resurfacing along Sherbourne Drive between Washington Boulevard to the southerly Cul de Sac has been ongoing since Monday.

Until final paving is completed on Friday, the street is closed to traffic and on street parking between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m.

The project entails grinding 2-inches of the full width and length of the existing asphalt concrete paving; repairing any pavement sections that have deteriorated and resurfacing the entire street with new asphalt concrete paving.

Maybe more to the point, where does the methane (way more powerful than CO2 as a greenhouse gas)Read More release go from the fracking process, where do the "secret"and other cancer causing chemicals go, and who pays for clean-up costs, increased healthcare costs of residents nearby, possible increased earthquake damage, etc. and where does this oil go (we can't use it--too dirty--so probably China)?

As I understand it, fracking wells "dry up" fairly quickly, which is why pressure to keepRead More drilling so urgent. Where do the jobs go after a year or so? Just a thought....
