Rescue Dog of the Week: Poppy, the State Flower-Named Pup

Meet Poppy, a Rhodesian Ridgeback/Shepherd mix whose temporary home is in Culver City.

Update: Poppy is now adopted.

Poppy is a happy and bright 1-year-old Rhodesian Ridgeback/Shepherd mix with endless energy. She likes to jog, play and go on long walks and gets along well with other dogs, as well as with cats and kids. She is vaccinated, spayed and micro chipped, so she'll never be lost--not that she'd run away anyway.

Poppy is looking for a nice home with a big yard, where she can lay out and soak up the sun, ideally with another dog or two. She is a social butterfly awaiting a permanent home.
