Rescue Dog of the Week: Chato, the Pit Bull Mix

Meet Chato, a homeless Culver City pup who landed in the care of SpcaLA, South Bay.

Chato is a 3-year-old male dog who was turned in by his Culver City owner because of his constant running away from the backyard. Chato is a very sweet dog--and very well-mannered--but he needs to be an inside dog in order to stay put. He is a perfect family dog, as he was in a home with young kids.

Chato is playful and friendly, and has been housebroken. He knows how to sit, stay and walk on a leash. His favorite toys are teddy bears, and he loves to play. He needs an active household to help burn off his excess energy.

He is an intelligent dog and would benefit from formal basic obedience training and additional agility classes. Visit him at the shelter and discover his sweet disposition.

Chato and other Culver City pups are housed in SpcaLA's South Bay Pet Adoption Center.

Since 1877, SpcaLA has been the premiere independent, nonprofit animal welfare organization serving Southern California.  There is no national SPCA, parent organization, or umbrella group that provides financial support to SpcaLA. Donations run programs and services including cruelty investigation, disaster animal response team and humane education. For more information visit SpcaLA.com.
