Police Blotter: Two Residential Burglaries Reported

The burglaries were reported to the Culver City Police Department a day apart. The first allegedly occurred on Whitburn Street, the second on Buckingham Parkway.

Here’s a recap of crimes that occurred between Sept. 11 and Sept. 17 as reported to the Culver City Police Department.

Car Burglary

On Sept. 11 at 10:15 p.m. a victim called the police department to report his 2005 Toyota had been burglarized. The victim said he parked and locked his car in the 5800 block of Dauphin St. on Sept. 11 at 5:30 p.m. When he returned at 10 p.m. he discovered the front passenger window had been shattered and his property missing.

Vandalism

On Sept. 12 at 5:30 p.m. a victim called the police department to report her vehicle had been vandalized. The victim said she parked and locked her 2007 Toyota in the 10900 block of Barman Ave. on Sept 12 at 8:30 a.m. When she returned at 5 p.m. she discovered her passenger side window was shattered.

Residential Burglary

On Sept. 13 at 10:10 p.m. officers responded to the 10700 block of Whitburn St. regarding a burglary investigation. The officers met with the victim who told she locked and secured her residence at 8:30 a.m. When she returned at 10 p.m. she discovered her bedroom screen was lying on the ground and the window open. The victim entered the residence and discovered her property missing.

Residential Burglary

On Sept. 14 at 9:50 p.m. officers responded to the 6000 block of Buckingham Pkwy regarding a burglary investigation. The officers met with the victim who told them she locked and secured her residence at 7:30 a.m. and when she returned at 5:45 p.m. discovered her property was missing. The victim is unsure how the suspect(s) entered her residence.

Assault

On Sept. 14 at 11:30 p.m. officers responded to the 8500 block of Washington Blvd. regarding a battery investigation. The officers met with the victim who told them he was involved in a fight and the party involved left the location. The victim said he did not remember any of the details.

Stolen Vehicle

On Sept. 17 at 5:30 a.m. officers responded to the 4200 block of Coolidge Ave. regarding a stolen car investigation. The officers met with the victim who told them the following he parked and locked his 1999 Nissan on Sept. 15 at 4 p.m. When he returned on September 17 at 5:30 a.m. he discovered his vehicle missing.
