Looking for something sweet to do this weekend without leaving town? Pack your weekend with inexpensive options that include Casino Night, hot restaurants and cooking classes. 

1. Make a Wish For Lady Luck to Visit Casino Night

Beer and wine, hors d’oeuvres and gambling benefiting Culver City High School—what's not fun about that? Head over to the Culver City Community Casino Night on Saturday at the Veterans Memorial Auditorium for fun and a touch of Casino Royale in Culver City.

2. Learn About the Plastic Bag Ban

Watch Bag It, an eye-opening documentary about single-use plastics and the path to the plastic bag ban. The documentary viewing is free, but there is a suggested donation of $5, which will automatically enter you into a drawing to win a DVD copy of the movie signed by the filmmakers.

3. Learn How to Make S'mores from Scratch

Learn how to make the campfire favorite at a Handmade S'mores Class at Surfas. Everything will be from scratch, including handmade marshmallows and real graham cracker cookies.

When: Friday, 2:30-5:30 p.m.

4. Listen to Washboards in the Orchestra with The Dustbowl Revival 

Self-proclaimed as "the oldest bar in Culver  City," the  is known around town for Americana music, also known as alternative country music. The Dustbowl Revival, a Venice-based folksy band, uses an orchestra to give its music a unique feel. The sound of 10 musicians playing such diverse instruments as a washboard and a clarinet, will kick-start a fun weekend on Friday night.

When: All weekend, 9 p.m. and 10:30 p.m., The Dustbowl Revival on Friday

Pricing:  Free. 21 and over only 

5. Say 'Cheers' to the Weekend with Bottomless Mimosas

A friendly reminder:  will be featuring bottomless mimosas for only $13.95. Enjoy the late morning with a group of friends and savor the last bit of the weekend.
