1. “East Village West” at Royal/T

Why go: Come to Royal/T and see the “East Village West” exhibition, curated by Ann Magnuson and Kenny Scharf in partnership with the “Pacific Standard Time: Art in L.A. 1945-1980.”  Magnuson and Scharf celebrate and showcase California pop culture and Hollywood’s influence on New York City’s neo-Dada art movement. The exhibition will run through Jan. 10, 2012.

2. Guitar Greats Frank Potenza, Pat Kelley and Bruce Forman

Where/When: , 4316 Sepulveda Blvd, Culver City. Saturday at 7:30 p.m.

Why go: Come to Boulevard Music for a great, live show by world-renowned guitarists, Frank Potenza, Pat Kelley and Bruce Forman, who are professors from the University of Southern California guitar department.

3. Culver City Symphony Orchestra Presents “Veterans Day Remembrance”

Where/When: , 4117 Overland Ave, Culver City. Saturday at 8 p.m.

Why go: Culver City Symphony Orchestra Presents “Veterans Day Remembrance,” conducted by Frank Fetta, as the season-opening concert of the 2011-12 season. The concert honors the men and women of United States Armed Forces.

4. "The Flowering of Desire"

Where/When: 6300 Hetzler Rd., Culver City. Sunday, at 3:30 p.m.

Why go: "The Flowering of Desire” is presented by Donna Sternberg and dancers and is the first in a series of performances that explores the desires in the world of plants, throught the plant’s point of view, as well as the human desires that connect us to plants. Special guest Dr. Margot Griswold, who is the restoration ecologist with the Los Angeles Audubon, will speak about the ecology of the surrounding landscape as well as the science and art projects that have been an integral part of the restoration process. Enjoy live music from composer Ken Christianson.

5. Beit T'Shuvah Sisterhood's 4th Annual Holiday Boutique

Where/When: 8831 Venice Blvd, Los Angeles, CA. Sunday at 10 a.m.

Why go: Temple Beit T’Shuvah’s Sisterhood is holding its 4th annual Holiday “Boutique ‘N Nibble” for everyone to enjoy. There will be more than 30 vendors, who will be selling unique fashions, handbags, jewelry, gifts, children’s clothes and more to support Beit T'Shuvah's ongoing addiction recovery programs.
