Mystery Novels and Comedy Shows

Join a mystery novel book club, laugh at The Super Serious Show and other Thursday ideas.

1) It's time to laugh again: The Super Serious Show, a monthly live comedy show at Smashbox Studios Culver City, promises gut-busting laughter tonight. 2) Join the 'Book'em Mystery Book Club at the Julian Dixon Library. Starting at 6:45 p.m., the  titles being read are available at the library. For more information, contact Michael Masliah via email at mmasliah@library.lacounty.org.

3)  Listen to another group of talented musicians at The Cinema Bar. Self-proclaimed as "The Westside's Home for Americana Music," this bar is featuring musical acts Claire Holley, Kristin Mooney 'Minnessippi' and Kip Boardman.

4) It's been awhile since I've had the chance to sit down for French dinner at Fraiche, but I recommend staying for live music starting at 10 p.m. on Thursday.  For more information, click here. Fraîche, 9411 Culver Blvd.

5) Get going on Thursday with the Coffee Club at Culver Ice Arena at 9:45 a.m. For a $10 fee, the social event includes two hours of skating and a group lesson from 9:45 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. To participate, the class requires basic skating skills.
