L.A. District Attorney Files Charges Against Man Accused of Abandoning Pitbull

The Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office filed criminal charges against a man accused of abandoning a seriously injured dog in Culver City, authorities announced Wednesday.

Thomas Naylor—who is accused of abandoning a pitbull named Cruiser—is charged with one count of felony animal cruelty, one count of drunk driving, and one count of driving Without a license.

The 62-year-old man was arrested last Friday and remains in custody with a bail of $170,000.
