'Hair-O-Graphy' Dance Class Benefits Pink Heart Funds

Your Neighborhood Studio dancers raise money to buy wigs for people who have lost their hair to illness or cancer treatment.

Your Neighborhood Studio in Culver City taught a "hair-o-graphy" dance class Friday to raise money for Pink Heart Funds, a nonprofit providing free wigs to those suffering from hair loss due to illness or cancer treatment.

Your Neighborhood Studio instructors Ginger Broussard and Sara VonGillern led the event, telling participants to "Let down your locks for this fierce charity fundraiser. ... Get ready to flirt, toss, flip and whip your hair in this sassy masterclass ... Hair-o-graphy!"

Raising $250 can pay for one child-size human hair wig and $125 is the price tag for a synthetic hair wig. Donations were $20 per dancer.
