Densest Population in the Country?

Census data reveals the most densely populated urban center in the U.S.

If you’ve ever cursed your steering wheel while stuck in Los Angeles rush-hour traffic, then you probably suspect a lot of people live here.

L.A., Long Beach and Anaheim account for the densest population in the country, with some 7,000 people for every square mile in that zone, according to 2010 census data, as reported by KPBS.

The "Mapping L.A." project by the Los Angeles Times reveals that Culver City had a population of 38,816 in 2000 and had 7,475 people per square mile, which translated to average density for both the Westside of Los Angeles and Los Angeles County.
