George Barris' Eighth Annual “Cruisin' Back to Culver City Car Show” on Saturday featured not only classic Chevys, hot rods and even a military vehicle, but also an impressive amount of fashionistas decked out in Betty Grable-style duds and blue jeans. It was an event that reminded attendees of why Culver City is one of the hottest spots Los Angeles has to offer.
Barris’ creative fingerprint was evident Saturday morning with his many creations on display; those not familiar with his name have seen his talent as the creator of the Batmobile, the Munsters' Koach, and the Beverly Hillbillies' jalopy. More than 400 cars took over the restaurant-lined downtown Culver City, with even city employees sporting their Natural Gas Vehicles.
