Coolhaus Celebrates Grand Opening with New Hot Chocolate Recipe

Although the Culver City Coolhaus ice cream storefront has been around for several weeks now, the company held its official launch party on Monday night with the finalists in its hot chocolate recipe competition.

The owners of Coolhaus celebrated their official grand opening by throwing a party Monday night at their new store in Culver City. For the past few weeks Coolhaus has been having a contest to come up with a new recipe for hot chocolate that will be served in their store. Store owner Natasha Case went through hundreds of recipes before choosing the winner, Jessica Goryl, and her Maple-Candied Bacon Hot Chocolate.

Goryl, along with the other 13 finalists were invited to a private party co-hosted by Eater LA. Eater LA Editor Kat Odell was excited to attend the party which featured "Bad Santas" and an ugly sweater contest.

"Everyone just loves Coolhaus," she said.
