Cast Those Votes and Hang With the Actors' Gang

Other options for today include hitting the ground running and taking the kids out to hear bedtime stories.

1) Don't forget to vote today—be sure to check your polling location, which will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Need a cheat sheet on the propositions? Click on our official election tab, designed to give you a quick breakdown of what you need to know.

2) It's not too late in the day to fit that run in. The Culver City Running Meetup Group has 16 spots left (and counting down) for tonight at 6 p.m. The weekly group of runners welcomes everyone from professional sprinters to newbies. Tonight's runners are meeting up at the Veterans Auditorium fountain. For more information, see the group's meetup site page. Veterans Auditorium, 4117 Overland Ave.

3) Attention parents: It's time for bedtime stories. The Culver City Julian Dixon Branch Library Storytime starts at 7 p.m. The free event is a treat for children up to 8 years old. No prior registration is required, but for questions, contact Joan Mead: 310-559-1676. Culver City Julian Dixon Library, 4975 Overland Ave.

4) Join a politically fueled event, the live reading of the book ¡SATIRISTAS! by The Actors' Gang, tonight. Presented by Paul Provenza, Robert Dubac and Dan Dion, the reading attacks the effects of the media, politics and even ignorance on society. Doors open at 7 p.m. and the show starts at 8 p.m. The price is a modest, "pay what you can." For more information, see The Actors' Gang siteThe Actors' Gang, 9070 Venice Blvd.; 310-838-4264

5) There is such a thing as fresh produce in November. The Culver City Farmers Market, held weekly on Tuesdays, is offering all things green and local from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. The outdoor shopping will happen at Main St. & Culver Boulevard; 310-253-5575. For more information, click here.
