However, after tallying the comments and reviews and analyzing the poll votes, we discovered that there had been cheating involved. Patch does not condone cheating of any kind and we had to discount the invalid votes. Once we did that, Batch squeaked ahead of City Tavern by a few votes to take first place.

Huge congratulations to Batch on its win.

Ben Goddard wrote of Batch, “I am told the Batch burger is a special blend of natural, short rib, and sirloin - served with aged cheddar and house made mustard. I do like to know how my burger is made and where the meat comes from but the Batch burger is so good, really good that I wouldn't care if I didn't know. It's the kind of burger you would dream about if you were stranded on a deserted island.”

Kudos also to City Tavern for coming in a close second.

Ron Richardson weighed in on City Tavern's burger, noting, "It is so good I can't even describe it. It was on a pretzel bun and had a homemade aoli sauce."

Clearly, you can’t go wrong by eating a burger at either of these great restaurants.
