Gates, Kingsley & Gates Smith Salsbury and Culver City Residents Provide Nearly 11,000 Minutes of Call Time to Service Men and Women

Since its program started just over two years ago, Gates, Kingsley & Gates Smith Salsbury, with the contributions and support of Culver City residents, has collected enough cell phones and accessories to provide nearly 11,000 minutes of call time to our service men and women.  Gates, Kingsley & Gates Smith Salsbury will continue to serve as a collection center for Cell Phones for Soldiers, a 501(c)(3) non-profit, which is dedicated to providing cost-free communication services to active duty military members and veterans.

"Gates, Kingsley & Gates Smith Salsbury has been a tremendous advocate for our troops and Cell Phones for Soldiers," said Robbie Barguest, co-founder of the nine-year old nonprofit. "Through its phone recycling efforts, we've been able to provide free international calling cards to hundreds of troops, allowing them a chance to make a precious call home. We couldn't support the servicemen and women without great partners like Gates, Kingsley & Gates Smith Salsbury."

Based in Norwell, Mass., Cell Phones for Soldiers was founded in 2004 by Robbie and Brittany Bergquist, then 12 and 13 years old. The organization has provided 192 million minutes of free talk time to deployed military members.  For more information, visit www.cellphonesforsoldiers.com.
