Venice Chocolate Shop Moving to Culver City/Mar Vista Border

Chocovivo will move from its current location on Abbott Kinney to Washington Boulevard at the beginning of November.

Patricia Tsai’s artisan chocolate shop – Chocovivo – will move out of its current location on Abbot Kinney Boulevard in Venice and will head to the Culver City/Mar Vista border at the beginning of November, reports Grub Street and Eater LA.

Tsai’s new premises will be close to the Corner Door, which is at 12447 Washington Blvd, in the same strip as A-Frame and Waterloo & City.  Eater LA reports the new space will serve as LA’s first ‘bean to bar chocolate factory,’ and she’ll add hot and iced chocolate drinks to the menu.

Rising rents on Abbott Kinney and a desire for Tsai to have larger premises to create her chocolates on the premises are cited as the reasons for the move.

Grub Street also notes that Chocovivo’s relocation alongside other upscale eateries between Centinela and Inglewood boulevards is helping to make the area more desirable.

its a shame Los Angele's did not have the kind of staff Culver City has to attract businesses like this to LA Streets. Culver City and Santa Monica always get it right, Small Cities work, large ones do not it seams, on all accounts.

This is a clear warning about what will happen to our aging water and sewer infrastructure, if theRead More city allows frackers to drill under our homes. The city of Westminster in OC last week denied a drilling permit for exactly this reason. It's time for citizens to let their council members know their thoughts on this topic. Council is concerned about a lawsuit if they stop fracking. The cost of a lawsuit pales next to the cost of replacing our infrastructure. Paid by taxpayers. Thus far frackers have never operated in such a densely populated area. In rural areas, there isn't nearly as much infrastructure.
