New Coffee Roastery and Cafe Coming to Culver City

Culver City will soon have a new coffee roastery and cafe as Bar Nine Collective puts the finishing touches on their location in the Hayden Tract, EaterLA reported.

Bar Nine is expected to open in October and will feature a large open space for customers to enjoy freshly-roasted coffee and pastries.

Bar Nine owners recently told coffee website spurge.com that they will focus on "breaking down barriers" between the cafe and the customer with roasting happening in plain view and low-profile barista counters for enhanced interaction.

"We do not wish to create something that is just timely for the now, we want to create an ever-evolving adventure of the highest pursuits of flavor exploration," Bar Nine wrote in its mission statement on its website. "We want to break down as many barriers as possible, not just from the guest to the barista, but also from the consumer to the product."
