Mural to Be Unveiled Sunday at Culver City’s Oldfield’s Liquor Room

This Sun. Oct. 22 marks the one-year anniversary of the 1930s-esque-liquor room, which pays homage to L.A.'s famed race car driver, Barney Oldfield.

To celebrate the one-year anniversary of Culver City’s 1930s-esque Oldfield’s Liquor Room, a giant mural of famed race car driver Barney Oldfield is currently being painted on the side of the building facing Kelton Street on the corner of its premises at 10899 Venice Boulevard.

The mural will be officially unveiled this Sun. Oct. 22. Los Angeles-based artist Daniel Winters is at the helm of the 10 X 12 foot work of art that will adorn the wall.

Oldfield’s liquor room pays homage to the famed racecar driver who is buried at Culver City’s Holy Cross Cemetery. The Liquor Room features subway and penny tile, a grand mahogany bar and detailed attention to classic cocktails and fine spirits. It’s also a local hangout for its happy hours and live music.
