Culver City Biz: What’s Opening, Closing and Expanding?

New businesses hoping to move to Culver City and current businesses looking to expand include Smashburger, The Pho Zone and LYFE kitchen.

George Schlatter Productions: The television film production company has been issued a permit to renovate a building at 8476 Stellar Dr.

HQ Development: Plans have been approved for improvements for office buildings located at 9950 Jefferson Blvd. including core and shell improvements to one two-story building and two one-story buildings.

Smashburger: The national hamburger chain has submitted plans for a new restaurant located at 10704 Venice Blvd.

Elevate LA One: Has submitted plans for a new restaurant located at 4114 Sepulveda Blvd.

LYFE Kitchen: The company whose acronym stands for ‘Love Your Food Every Day’ and promotes healthy living and eating, currently has only one restaurant in Palo Alto in Northern California Howevr, the company has now submitted plans to open a new restaurant at 9540 Washington Blvd.

: Nordstrom Rack has submitted plans for a new retail clothing store, while Dippingo, a new chocolate fondue kiosk is now complete.

: Has submitted plans for a renovation of the gym at 3827 Overland Ave.

: Has submitted plans for a renovation of the existing creative office space to allow for a production facility.

The Pho Zone: The Asian Fusion and Vietnamese restaurant currently located in New Jersey, has submitted plans for a new restaurant located at 5407 Sepulveda Blvd.

HUMAN Healthy Vending –: The country's leading healthy vending machine franchisor, has relocated from Santa Monica to a 9,000 square foot, one-of-a-kind, creative office space in the Hayden Tract.

The Cunningham Group Architecture Inc.: Has relocated from Los Angeles to 8665 Hayden Pl.

Cherry on Top Frozen Yogurt: Todrick Allen reports that the frozen yogurt chain will open soon on the corner of Centinela Avenue and Washington Place.

Maybe more to the point, where does the methane (way more powerful than CO2 as a greenhouse gas)Read More release go from the fracking process, where do the "secret"and other cancer causing chemicals go, and who pays for clean-up costs, increased healthcare costs of residents nearby, possible increased earthquake damage, etc. and where does this oil go (we can't use it--too dirty--so probably China)?
