Culver City Arts District Gets Organic Liquor Store

The latest addition to the bustling arts district in Culver City is the Bar & Garden Liquor Store, which has a focus on natural, organic alcoholic beverages.

It’s only been open since Jan. 29, but Bar & Garden Liquor Store at 6142 Washington Blvd. in the arts district, is already generating buzz.

Eater LA reports, “After rehabilitating a 60-year old liquor store, Lauren Johnson and Marissa Mandel spruced up the place with skylights, greenery, and flowers to make for a pleasant shopping and wine-tasting experience. Most of the wines are small-producer labels, from domestic to Old World, as well as a terrific mix of rums, tequilas, gins, bourbons, and fortified wines that are essential for the modern cocktailian.”

And according to a company statement, Bar & Garden is “a beverage store focusing on small-batch, artisan products that have a sense of place.”

You can check out that sense of place this Sat. April 13, when Bar & Garden holds a gelato tasting … with booze from 6 – 9 p.m. Click here to learn more about the event.
