CItyTypes: The Car Washer

Customer service is key for Jose Rodriguez, manager at Overland Car Wash and Detail Center, whose slogan is "tough on dirty, easy on the earth."  Through his guidance of 23 workers, he's lead the shop to become No. 1 on Yelp.  

Rodriguez conducts post-wash meetings with his team (all of who have five to 10 years experience) to assess their needs and encourage them to do better.   

"I used to work with really good managers, and my experience is, we need to take care of the customers.  These guys work really hard, and I trust them--I know what they can handle," he said. " We're a team, and we stick together.  If you are happy in a workplace, everything is going to be fine."
