City Tavern Celebrates One-Year Anniversary

The tavern is set to hold a fundraiser to benefit the Culver City Historical Society.

will soon host a fundraiser in honor of its one-year anniversary. The fundraiser, scheduled for next week, will offer some special pricing in honor of the occasion.

There will be an "Anniversary Cocktail" on the menu and a "City Tavern Sample Board" starting at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, April 3, at the restaurant which is located at 9739 Culver Blvd. A selection of craft cocktails will also be available that night for only $9 after 10 p.m. as part of the restaurant's "Under 10 after 10" program.

"I think we have a very unique combination of upscale fine dining type prepared food served casually with 25 local craft beers," said co-owner Ken Kaufman.

Part of the proceeds from the anniversary celebration will benefit the Culver City Historical Society which focuses on preserving the history of Culver City.

Kaufman said it was a natural choice to support the society since he and co-owner, Brian McKeaney, have a great appreciation for history which is reflected in the restaurant's architecture and overall feel.

"We think the work they do is phenomenal in keeping the history alive of Culver City which is so important to all of us," he said. "It gives our lives context."
