Culver City Firefighters Wearing Pink For Breast Cancer Awareness Month

The firefighters will be wearing pink T-shirts for the whole month of October and raising funds for the Susan G. Komen Foundation.

Culver City Firefighters will once again be going "PINK" this October to honor and support those battling breast cancer.

As you see firefighters around town this month you will notice they are wearing pink T-shirts to show their dedication to finding a cure for breast cancer.

This event is not limited to just Fire Department personnel. T-shirts are available in men's, women's and children's sizes for all city workers, as well as members of the community and all the proceeds will go directly to the Susan G. Komen Foundation to help find a cure for breast cancer.

Shirts will be sold at Fire Station # 2 at 11252 Washington Blvd. Adult sizes are $15 and child sizes are $10. For more information, please contact Tim Carr at timothy.carr@culvercity.org

Maybe more to the point, where does the methane (way more powerful than CO2 as a greenhouse gas)Read More release go from the fracking process, where do the "secret"and other cancer causing chemicals go, and who pays for clean-up costs, increased healthcare costs of residents nearby, possible increased earthquake damage, etc. and where does this oil go (we can't use it--too dirty--so probably China)?

As I understand it, fracking wells "dry up" fairly quickly, which is why pressure to keepRead More drilling so urgent. Where do the jobs go after a year or so? Just a thought....
