Zombie Dancers Wanted: Thrill The World Flash Mob Returns To Zombie Walk

The Long Beach Zombie Walk shuffles back again on Oct. 27. Wanna-be zombies from all over - including Culver City - are eligible to join in.

The Long Beach Zombie Walk shuffles back again on Oct. 27 and this year, the world-famous Thrill the World L.A. (www.thrilltheworldlosangeles.com) group will again perform a choreographed “Thriller” mass dance.

Join thousands of dancing zombies as Thrill the World honors Michael Jackson—and celebrates the 30th anniversary of the landmark album’s release—with a street dance for the ages.

The time/location for Thriller Dance is 7pm.  Choreographers will be on both stages, and songs will play on both stages for the crowd to dance along to. The event's new location is Marina Green Park.
Gilbert Aquino is the recruiting dancer/choreographer/Thrill the World rep. Interested Zombie dancers can e-mail him at: gilbertttwla@gmail.com.

About the Zombie Walk Long Beach Street Fest & Zombie Walk
The 5th Annual event, presented by the Long Beach Cinematheque (lbcinema.org) and Mondo Celluloid (MondoCelluloid.com, continues its legacy on Sat. Oct. 27 in an all-new location: Marina Green, Shoreline Village and Rainbow Harbor in downtown Long Beach! This community event invites the “undead” of all ages to participate in a day and night of ghoulish fun.

Last year’s record-smashing event on Oct. 29 featured over 12,000 walking dead, a bank of professional make up artists prepping the undead, local merchants selling their varied wares and hosting live bands & other happenings, culminating in a live performance by Johnny Vatos’ Tribute to Halloween featuring members of Oingo Boingo! Zombie Walk Long Beach was featured in Los Angeles Magazine’s “The Guide”, and selected by AAA’s Westways magazine (October 2011) as #4 in the feature, “Five Southern California Events Worth Driving To, And More”!

This year’s festivities are shaping up to be monstrous and more will be revealed in the coming weeks. Stay tuned for all the details past & present on the web (lhttp://zombiewalklb.com/) and on Facebook (www.facebook.com/ZombieWalkLB )

This is a clear warning about what will happen to our aging water and sewer infrastructure, if theRead More city allows frackers to drill under our homes. The city of Westminster in OC last week denied a drilling permit for exactly this reason. It's time for citizens to let their council members know their thoughts on this topic. Council is concerned about a lawsuit if they stop fracking. The cost of a lawsuit pales next to the cost of replacing our infrastructure. Paid by taxpayers. Thus far frackers have never operated in such a densely populated area. In rural areas, there isn't nearly as much infrastructure.
