'The Avengers,' 'Silver Linings Playbook' Big Winners at MTV Movie Awards [PHOTOS]

The awards were held Sunday night at Sony Studios in Culver City.

The Avengers and Silver Linings Playbook were the two big winners Sunday night at the 2013 MTV Movie Awards, presented at Sony Studios in Culver City.

Both hauled in three awards. 

The Avengers won the “Movie of the Year” award as well as the “Best Villain” (Tom Hiddleston) and “Best Fight” awards.

Silver Linings Playbook grabbed the “Best Male Performance” (Bradley Cooper), “Best Female Performance” (Jennifer Lawrence) and “Best Kiss” (Cooper and Lawrence) trophies.

Rebel Wilson, who won the “Best Musical Performance” honor, also hosted the event.

Actor-comedian Jamie Foxx -- nominated for “Best Male Performance” in Django Unchained was given the MTV Generation Award.

Emma Watson, perhaps best known for the Harry Potter film series and a “Best Female Performance” nominee for The Perks of Being a Wallflower, received the Trailblazer Award.

Actor Will Ferrell took home the inaugural Comedic Genius Award, presented by Peter Dinklage, Ferrell's co-star in Elf.

Scarlett Johansson and Jeremy Renner vs. Tom Hiddleston, The Avengers

   -- Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper, Silver Linings Playbook

 

BEST WTF MOMENT
