Volunteer at a creative writing summer camp!

Volunteers are needed to work alongside students of all language abilities at 826LA's annual English Language Learner (ELL) Summer Camp!

Over the course of four weeks, students will be filling our writing labs in the morning and afternoon as we embark on a wildly adventurous journey through writing. Whether penning complaint letters about the terrible service at Café 826LA, or cracking secret codes delivered by spies, our ELL Campers need YOU!

Volunteers, who are at least 16 years old, are needed for this summer program, which runs July 9 through August 2. Camp happens Monday through Thursday of each week, and is broken into two age-separated sessions (7-9 years: 10 AM-12:30 PM / 9-12 years: 1:30-4 PM). And while you don't need to come all day to be an ELL Camp volunteer, you're more than welcome to.

To help out at our ELL Camp, you'll need to attend a fun and informative Volunteering 101 training session. Email iwanttohelp@826la.org for upcoming dates and times. Thank you!
