Helms Bakery Sunset Cinema

Beginning Saturday, September 8th, Helms Bakery hosts their 3rd annual Sunset Cinema series, with this year’s theme celebrating the history of film in Culver City.  We’ll have 4 weeks of favorites from the MGM catalog, kicking off the series with a salute to Gene Kelly in his film An American In Paris, (directed by Vincente Minelli, music by George Gershwin and lyrics by Ira Gerswhin).  Join us on Helms Walk, just outside Father's Office patio, at 6:15 when Patricia Kelly, widow of Gene Kelly, will introduce the film and share some heartwarming memories in loving tribute to her husband Gene’s centennial.  The film will begin at approximately 7:15. Come by early to shop, grab a bite to eat or get your movie snack to go. We’ll have plenty of chairs, so grab your friends and neighbors for a little free fun under the stars!
