DESCRIPTION:
This 3-hour workshop follows the Amherst Writers & Authors method, developed by Pat Schneider who has helped "writers find and liberate their true voices." We will explore writing prompts that will spark your imagination in surprising and creative ways. New writers will leave encouraged; experienced writers will leave energized. Whether your objective is publication or personal fulfillment, the tools you learn in this workshop will bring you closer to your goals.
About the Instructor:
Desiree Kannel, MFA and AWA affiliate, certified to lead workshops as outlined by Pat Schneider in Writing Alone and With Others. Desiree earned her MFA from Antioch University, Los Angeles. She also served as the fiction editor for The Sylvan Echo, an online journal. She is the creator and facilitator of Rose Writers Workshops in Long Beach. When she isn't writing, Desiree teaches in public schools.
