Reduce your carbon footprint by walking or riding your bike in honor of Downtown Culver City’s Third Wednesday “Earth Day” Happy Hour. Drivers are welcome too, but make sure to carpool with your friends to a neighborhood that’s big on protecting the environment. Go green without spending a lot of green at boutiques and specialty stores or go healthy for the day at one of Downtown Culver City’s hot spot eateries. Culver City’s downtown area is Southern California’s best kept secret, featuring a wonderful mix of historic buildings, boutiques, theaters, galleries, and unique restaurants opening on to tree-lined streets. Parking is free in municipal structures for up to two hours, or valet parking is available at three convenient Downtown locations. 5 pm-9 pm on Wed. April 18; Downtown Culver City is located just south of the 10 Freeway and east of the 405, between the intersection of Culver and Washington Blvds and Dusquene Ave.. Maybe more to the point, where does the methane (way more powerful than CO2 as a greenhouse gas)Read More release go from the fracking process, where do the "secret"and other cancer causing chemicals go, and who pays for clean-up costs, increased healthcare costs of residents nearby, possible increased earthquake damage, etc. and where does this oil go (we can't use it--too dirty--so probably China)?
