AVPA Theatre presents "The Laramie Project" ONE NIGHT ONLY

AVPA Theatre presents "The Laramie Project"

Friday, January 7th, 7pm at the Robert Frost Auditorium

The AVPA's Blurred Vision Theatre Company will present a preview of "The Laramie Project" on Friday night, January 7th at 7pm. The company, under the direction of Creative Director Sheila Silver, was awarded first prize in the region for the second consecutive year by the California Educational Theatre Association (CETA).  The show originally had 9 sold-out performances in November at the intimate Sony Pictures Black Box Theatre. The Laramie Project is being re-worked for larger venue, as it will be performed on the Mainstage before 2,000 theatre students at the CETA festival on MLK weekend.

Twelve years after the death of Matthew Shepard, the powerful "Laramie Project" leads us toward the insight and understanding that we need to address the hate crimes and bullying that continue in our schools and communities.

Come for an evening of superb theatre to support our dedicated students. Please put January 7th, 7pm on your calendar, as this will be the last chance to see this award-winning production!

Tickets are $10, available at the door. Funds raised at this performance will go directly to help with the cost transportation for sets, equipment, and students.
