Following last year's award-winning production of "The Adventures of Nicholas Nickleby", the AVPA Theatre Department is proud to present "The Laramie Project."

In November, 1998, the members of The Techtonic Theatre Project traveled to Laramie, Wyoming, to conduct interviews with the people of the town where a brutal beating had led to the death of  a University of Wyoming student. Thus began the journey of "The Laramie Project." The Techtonic company returned to Laramie several times conducting more than two hundred interviews. The play you will  see is edited from those interviews and from journal entries by members of the company and other found texts.

Twelve years after the death of Matthew Shepard, the powerful "Laramie Project" leads us toward the insight and understanding that we need to address the hate crimes and bullying that continue in our schools and communities.  The AVPA Blurred Vision Theatre Company's production will run from November 12- 20th, 2010.

Tickets for The Laramie Project are now available through www.avpa.org and www.tix.com. Early reservations recommended due to small venue and past sold-out performances.
